The first Relay for Life organized by students and staff at LCCVI is an overwhelming success.

Hundreds of people spent eight hours walking the track at the school to honour cancer survivors and those lost to the disease.

The goal was to raise $20,000 for cancer research but at the end of the Friday event, organizers revealed the students and school had raised $45,153.
