Brooke-Alvinston council wants everyone on the same page.
Councillors have agreed to go to a recreation advisory committee meeting July 11 with the Alvinston Optimist to get an update on the club’s plans to build a pavilion and improve the Brooke Alvinston Inwood Community Centre. Mayor Don Ferguson says there has been a lot of confusion about the project and it would be good if everyone understood the plan and where it stands.
Councillor Jamie Armstrong, who is also the head of the building committee, thinks its a good idea. He also wants council to prepare documents and drawings of the project. The federal and provincial will so be giving grants for recreation facilities and Armstrong wants to apply.
“That seems to be how you get your money to build things like this.”
