Lambton lands part of 30×30 project
Brooke-Alvinston is investing in energy efficient street lights.
Treasurer/Administrator Richard Holland says the township will spend $80,000 to replace the current street lights.
The current lights require a lot of maintenance and the new LED streetlights are guaranteed maintenance free for 10 years.
They’re also projected to save about $30,000 in electricity costs.
“We want to be innovative,” says Holland. “We want to move forward and we like new ideas.”
Holland says 146 lights will be replaced in Alvinston and another 40 will be switched out in Inwood.
