Big Squeeze brings in big cash for Big Brothers/Big Sisters

The Big Squeeze has given the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program in Sarnia-Lambton a big boost.

Over 60 organizations and businesses raised $27,109.60 by selling lemonade and treats Aug. 9

MacFarlane Chevrolet Buick GMC raised the most money of anything of the competitors, $2,200 in total, with the Wyoming Legion and the Lambton OPP also making the top five fundraisers with $1,270.95 and $1,250 respectively.

The Imperial City Brew House in Sarnia had the Best Lemonade according to the Big Brother/Big Sister judges. The Central Lambton Family Health Team placed third in that category.

The Independent of Petrolia and Central Lambton was also recognized as one of the Top 5 Bests Lemonade Stands with Johnny G’s of Petrolia.

And Sipken’s Nursery was named one of the Top Five Themed Lemonade stands.
