Lancers fly high at Windsor track and field meet

Tyler McGrail of the LCCVI Lancers had a banner day at the University of Windsor Lancer’s Prep meet on the weekend.

McGrail placed First in Jr. Boys High Jump with a 1.69 m jump, first in Jr. Boys Triple Jump with a leap of 11.77m, and helped the Jr. Boys 4×100 relay finish sixth with a time of 52.77.

Jayln Jackson leaped over rest of the field in the Sr. Girls High Jump placing first with a 1.48 meter mark.

Pavla Gerrits won at the high jump pit with a 1.50 m first place leap in the Jr. Girls division.

And Katelyn Nicholson rounded out the Lancer’s domination of high jump with a first place finish on a 1.35 m leap in the Novice Girls Division.

Hannah Daniels placed first in the Novice Girls Javelin throw with a distance of 23.43 m.

Hunter Campbell won the Novice Boys Discus event with a throw of 39.68 meters.

Other notable finishes were:

Alexa Jaques, below, junior girl’s shot put taking fourth with a throw of 6.65 meters.

Megan Jaques, fifth in Sr. Girls Shotput with a throw of 9.15 meters

Senior Girls Shotput.

Jack Helps threw 32.79 meters in the Jr. Boys Javelin for third. Darius Landon threw 31.26 m to take fourth in the same event.

Tristen Nemcek threw 34.76 in Sr. Boys Javelin to place second and
