Petrolia’s Campbell heading to National Track and Field championship

Petrolia’s Hunter Campbell will represent Ontario at the Legion National Track and Field Championship. Campbell set a personal best at the Ontario Legion Track and Field Championships at Toronto’s York University last weekend. He uncorked a throw of 49.60 metres and won a silver medal in the boys’ under 18 discus final. He also won silver in the hammer throw.

Petrolia’s Kominek co-winner of the Sports Hall of Fame Pappy Burr Award

A Petrolia hockey player will be honoured by the The Sarnia Lambton Sports Hall of Fame. Brayden Kominek and Hunter Boucher have been named co-winners of the Pappy Burr Award, which goes to outstanding students about to enter post secondary education. Kominek, a LCCVI graduate, also achieved high academic marks while participating in hockey, cross country and track and field.
