OPP caution drivers after multiple crashes on 402

FROM LAMBTON OPP:

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Middlesex, Oxford and Lambton Detachments are currently responding to motor vehicle collisions along Provincial Highways 401 and 402. 

Four separate commercial motor vehicle collisions were reported along Provincial Highway 402. Westbound lanes of the highway are closed at Glendon Drive for the safety of emergency responders. No injuries have been reported and East bound lanes remain open.

Removal of the involved commercial motor vehicles and debris cleanup efforts are underway and closures will remain in effect while this occurs. Motorists are advised to utilize detour routes in place.

Provincial Highway 401 remains open in both directions; however, minor motor vehicle collisions have been reported. 

With current winter weather advisories in effect across the region, drivers are reminded to be aware of their surroundings at all times, and be prepared to adjust their driving to the changing weather and road conditions.
