Where there is F.I.R.E – there is HELP.  F.I.R.E. stands for Funding Initiative for Rural Emergencies, a program developed by DuPont Pioneer an international agricultural based company that wants to support rural fire departments with needed funding for life saving equipment.  DuPont Pioneer representative Jamie Morgan recently presented the St Clair Township Fire Department with a cheque for $8500.

The funding will be used to help offset the cost for two TFT Blitzfire Rapid Attack portable ground monitors.  These devices can be quickly deployed and operated by a single firefighter.  Furthermore, they are equipped with a safety mechanism so they can be left unattended, freeing personnel to carry out other duties.  These units will be assets to the Wilkesport and Becher Fire Stations.
