A Michigan man was thrown from his car after an accident near Reece’s Corners.

Lambton OPP say a compact car was going west bound on the 402 near Oil Heritage Road at 3:45 am Thursday when his car collided with a guard rail and then a tractor trailer. The Michigan male was thrown from his car and into the median.

He was taken to hospital for treatment. Police said the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The highway was closed for four-and-a-half hour while the Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Bureau investigated.
