‘A dangerous precedent’ CKs mayor says removing EA will have ‘devastating impact’

All but the Fishing Derby is on for Petrolia Canada Day celebration at Greenwood Park
June 29, 2015
If you were planning to take your kids to the fishing derby on Canada Day, you’ll have to wait.
A staple of the Town of Petrolia’s Canada Day has been postponed because of the wet conditions of the park.
On Friday, town officials announced the bulk of the Canada Day activities, including the children’s games, Rock the Park and the fireworks, were moving to the Greenwood Park near the arena because of the flooding in Bridgeview Park.
A new date for the fishing derby hasn’t been set yet.
And you won’t see any yellow duckies floating in Bridgeview either. Town officials say instead of the annual rubber duck race in the water, the winner will be drawn from the tickets purchased.
