Fraud pilot project in Lambton saves $160,000 in six months

Petrolia’s downtown now a WIFI zone

SLICC employee Rob Stonehouse attaches equipment for wireless Internet in front of The Independent on Petrolia Line Tuesday. The company will provide free wireless service in the downtown as part of a deal which saw SLICC place a tower on the town’s water tower. It’s not clear when the service will be available. Users will be able to access free WIFI for 10 minutes at a time.
