OPP stop driver going over 160 km/h in Dawn-Euphemia

First degree murder charge laid in transport fire

Lambton OPP have laid first degree murder charges against a Brampton truck driver.
Early Sunday morning, Wyoming Fire was called to the Camlachie Overpass on Highway 402 for a burning transport. A news release from the OPP say the driver escaped however efforts to free a passenger were unsuccessful.
After an investigation by the OPP Crime Unit, the Fire Marshall’s Office and the Coroner’s Office, police have charged 50-year-old Sukhchain Singh Brar of Brampton with first degree murder in the death of his wife, 37-year-old Gurpreet K. Brar.
Sukhchain Brar will be in court in Sarnia today to answer to the charge.
