Lancers suffer 2-1 OT loss in consolation final

The LCCVI Lady Lancers had a heart-breaking 2-1 overtime loss against St. Mary’s today in the consolation final at OFSAA Girls Hockey in Stratford.
The Lancers earned the berth in the consolation final by beating Fort Frances 3-2 but St. Mary’s scored a minute into overtime.
The Lancers lost their two first games but came back with two wins Wednesday to secure a spot in the consolation semi-finals. They beat ESC Theriault from the Timmins area 8-2 and then beat St. Thomas Aquinas from Kenora 6-1 to get into the consolation semi final.
