Four face charges in Watford drug raid

Four men face drug charges after OPP raided the old Watford Hotel.
Witnesses tell The Independent at least a half dozen OPP vehicles, including a Canine Unit, pulled up beside 5270 Nauvoo Road – the old Watford Hotel – around 4 pm Sept. 6.
Seven officers moved to the front door with a battering ram, breaking in the door and entering the building. A few minutes later, the officers emerged with three men in handcuffs and loaded them into two vehicles. Officers told people on the scene they were executing a warrant.
OPP say six different types of drugs were seized as well as hundreds of dollars, electronic devices, power tools, a shot gun and ammunition.
Robert Carreiro, 47, of Watford, Steve Abram, 33, of Dawn-Euphemia, Paul O’Connell, 46, of Watford and Kyle VanDeven, 26 of Carling Township are all facing nine charges including six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
