Courtright man facing charges after standoff

A 32-year-old male is facing charges after barricading himself inside a home in Courtright..
Specialized units from the OPP West Region Tactics & Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine and Crisis Negotiators, responded to the scene in the of Emi Street and Councillors Street area to assist members from the Lambton County OPP Detachment.
This morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. a 32-year-old male from St. Clair Township was taken into police custody without incident.
He will remain in custody while he awaits a bail hearing for his criminal charges.
Police remain in the area as they continue to investigate, however all roadways are now open to the public
