Theater goes dark Friday as water main problems persist in Petrolia

FROM THE TOWN OF PETROLIA

As work continues on the water main repair on Greenfield Street, Victoria Hall remains without water.

The break occurred Thursday around 5 pm and town crews have been working to repair the problem today. Town hall has been closed but officials were hopeful the evening performances of Black Gold would be able to go ahead. But without water, the theatre is unable to open.

 

The 6:30 p.m. showing of BLACK GOLD/BLACK DONNELLEY’S scheduled for Feb. 1 in Victoria Hall at 411 Greenfield Street, Petrolia has been cancelled.

Victoria Playhouse Petrolia staff will be calling all ticket holders starting at 3:00 p.m. today to exchange to one of the following dates:

 

February 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

February 2, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.

JUST ADDED: March 1, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.

LCCVI’s Zelenchuk win boys’ singles tennis crown

Yarko Zelecnhuk won the boys’ singles banner at the LKSSAA north division tennis tournament this week. The LCCVI student will now advance to the overall LK championship tournament next Tuesday in Chatham. Grant backstops Flyers to home ice win
