Lambton OPP and Sarnia police believe two men may be involved in two armed robberies, including the heist at a Petrolia variety store.
On May 14, around 11:40 pm, a man walked into the Circle K in Petrolia and robbed the store. Two days later, a Wellington St. store in Sarnia was robbed.
Police have arrested John Dobbie, 46, of Sarnia and charged him with two counts of robbery with a weapon, the use of a disguise and possession of a dangerous weapon.
He’s in custody and is scheduled to be in court Friday.
Police are also looking for Andrew Stirling, 40, of Sarnia. He’s wanted on the same charges. Police describe him as a white man, 5’7″, a thin build weighing about 135 pounds. He has blue eyes and greying hair.
Police say the man may be armed and is considered a risk to public safety. Anyone who might come into contact with the man should call police.
