Violent downtown Petrolia robbery a hoax say OPP
April 10, 2020
What first appeared to be a violent robbery in downtown Petrolia is now being called a hoax.
Earlier this week, Lambton OPP said a person walking downtown around 2:40 am April 7, and was attacked by two people on bicycles. Police said the victim alleged he’d been struck several times by a pipe before his wallet was taken.
Lambton OPP have been investigating the alleged violent attack and now say the allegations were false.
