Drive-in COVID-19 tests available in Petrolia and Sarnia
May 28, 2020
People in Lambton who want to be tested for COVID-19 can now do it without leaving their cars.
Beginning Saturday, people will be able to go to a drive-in clinic in both Petrolia and Sarnia.
“Our hope is that the drive-through model will accommodate more people in a safe manner,” says Laurie Zimmer, VP Operations, Bluewater Health “With the recent announcement that anyone can be swabbed, this will help to avoid crowding and accidental close contact of symptomatic people.”
The Rural Lambton Assessment Centre at the Central Lambton Family Health Team building is asking people to call in (519-882-2500) before showing up. Appointments will be made Monday to Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm.
The Sarnia assessment is at Twin Bridges Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic on Front St. It will be open from 9 am to 2 pm.
A health card number will be needed.
