Petrolia Flyers dump Trojans
Petrolia pizza places popping for Pizzafest
June 5, 2020
Petrolia’s pizza places were popping Friday for the first night of Pizzafest.
But the seventh annual event is a lot different than normal. The Town of Petrolia, which organizes the event, made Pizzafest virtual this year when it became apparent the province was not about to allow large crowds for some time to come because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Normally, hundreds of people sit under the trees at Victoria Park and listen to music while munching on pizza.
This year, the pizzerias are selling specials from their stores and the entertainment is being streamed live on social media.
The event continues Saturday.
