Brantford man faces charges after sleeping at the side of the road

A Brantford man is facing an impaired driving charge after Lambton OPP found a car at the side of Aberarder Line in Plympton-Wyoming.

On Sunday, around 2:40 am, police came on the car with its four-way flashers on. The officer found someone asleep in the car.

When the driver woke up, police say it became apparent he’d been drinking.

He was arrested and taken to the Petrolia detachment for testing.

Douglas Johnston, 38, of Brantford, has been charged with two counts of impaired driving and will be in court Aug. 17.
