Construction on Camlachie golf course condos may begin in 2027
Alvinston trainer to be next Brooke fire chief

Along time Alvinston firefighter will be the next chief of Brooke Fire Rescue.
Brooke-Alvinston council in a private meeting June 25 gave approval to make trainer Steve Knight the new part-time chief of the department. His appointment becomes official Thursday during a council meeting.
Knight has been a firefighter and trainer for many years. He’s also a professor at the Lambton College Fire School.
Knight succeeds Jeff McArthur who will be the part time chief at his home department in Southwold Township.
