Alvinston training officer is new Brooke chief

A long time Alvinston firefighter will be the next chief of Brooke Fire Rescue.
Brooke-Alvinston council in a private meeting June 25 gave approval to make trainer Steve Knight the new part-time chief of the department. His appointment becomes official Thursday during a council meeting.
Knight has been a firefighter and trainer for many years. He’s also a professor at the Lambton College Fire School.
Knight succeeds Jeff McArthur who will be the part time chief at his home department in Southwold Township.
