Parents for Parks got a boost on Monday toward their goal of a new playground at Greenwood Park. They were presented a cheque for $2,000 by the IODE Margaret Stokes Chapter at Victoria Hall. The money came from the raffling of a quilt made by the IODE. “This presentation comes at a good time for us because we’re just getting ready to gear up again after taking a hiatus during the COVID outbreak.” says Emily Denham Weed of Parents for Parks. “We plan to be making a stronger presence in the community again come July and August.” Pictured here are in the front row: June, Ada and Laurel Kittmer. Middle Row: Dawn McNally, Emily Denham Weed. Back row: Erin Hawryluk, Maddy Hayes, Joanne Brand, Wendy Loosely.
