LCCVI’s bid for a perfect season was tantalizingly close.
But the Lancers came up just short, falling 4-3 to Ursuline College in the LKSSAA boys baseball final.
LCCVI grabbed the lead in the fifth inning Thursday with a two-run single but Ursuline rallied late, scoring twice in the sixth and once in the seventh, to secure the LKSSAA title.
LCCVI was the lone undefeated team in the regular season, going 6-0. They defeated Northern Collegiate 5-4 in the semi-final on Tuesday to earn a spot in the final.
