OPP looking for help to determine what caused fire at Duststop in Petrolia
July 27, 2020
Petrolia/North Enniskillen fire officials and the Lambton OPP are still trying to figure out what might have caused a fire at Duststop Air Filters.
Just before 7 pm Friday, firefighters were called to the factory on Centre Street. Black smoke was coming from the warehouse.
Petrolia/North Enniskillen Fire Chief Jay Arns says fire crews worked into the night to put the fire out. Equipment, air filters and the building were all damaged. No one was injured.
Company officials are still trying to assess the value of what was lost. And, the OPP is asking the public for help with the investigation into the fire. It’s asking anyone with “knowledge of this incident” to call police.
Arns says would not say if the blaze was arson saying the cause is still under investigation.
