September 4, 2020
St. Clair Township firefighters had a lot of help to put out a blaze on a boat moored on the St. Clair River near Port Lambton.
A large boat tied to a dock was in flames when firefighters from Corunna and Courtright station arrived. Other firefighters from Clay Township, as well as the US and Canadian Coast Guard, Lambton County EMS, Lambton OPP, St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and the Canada Border Service Agency all helped with Thursday’s blaze.
Some residents say it was the first time they have seen a fire response on the St. Clair River.
