OPP look for driver who collided with train in St. Clair Township

Lambton OPP are looking for the driver of a van which hit a moving train.

Police are just now releasing information about an accident Oct. 9 when around 8:26 pm the OPP were called to Lasalle Line in St. Clair Township after a van hit a train.

When police arrived, the van was unoccupied and damaged. The train had stop and one of the cars was damaged. Police say the van was traveling eastbound on Lasalle Line and collided with the train which was moving.

The Canine Unit and the Emergency Response Team tried unsuccessfully to find the driver of the van.

Police are still investigating.
