Kitchener woman charged after death of Watford’s Paint Man
December 14, 2020
Lambton OPP have charged a Kitchener woman in connection with an accident which took the life of a Watford man earlier this year.
On Sept. 20, Bob Hollingsworth was in his van when he and another car collided at the intersection of London Line and Forest Road.
Hollingsworth, 57, was known as The Paint Man and was often seen wearing a Sherwin Williams T-shirt, driving around in his van with his dog, Lexy, and cat Hustle whom he often took to work with him.
Lexy was in the van when the accident occurred but was unharmed. Hollingsworth’s obituary said he was in “the protective embrace of his furry sidekick” at the time.
He was also known for his love of family and was on the way to visit someone when the accident occurred.
The driver of the other car was taken to hospital with what police termed non-life threatening injuries.
Monday, OPP said Ahlyssa Van Es, 26, has been charged with Careless Driving Cause Death.
