Three outbreaks cleared, 59 more cases of COVID-19 in Lambton

Fifty-nine more people in Lambton have tested positive for COVID-19.
Statistics released by Lambton Public Health Sunday show there are now 262 people fighting COVID-19 in the community – 13 more than Saturday. Another 46 people are listed as recovered.
Bluewater Health says as of Jan. 2, there were six people in hospital fighting the virus.
The public health unit has also cleared three outbreaks in Lambton – it is not clear which ones since public health didn’t release detailed data today.
In the last two days there have been four outbreaks in Lambton long term care homes including two staff members testing positive at Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia and Village on the St. Clair. North Lambton Lodge in Forest and Afton Park Place in Sarnia also have outbreaks declared with one case each.
Ontario Sunday reported 2,964 cases of COVID-19 cases across the province with over 1,400 in the GTA. Windsor-Essex also continues to struggle with the virus, recording another 187 people testing positive with COVID-19.
