Lambton Public Health is reporting just nine new cases Wednesday after 12 days of double digit increases.
Statistics released today show 289 people are ill with COVID-19, that’s down 34 today. The public health unit says 43 more people are listed as recovered.
Seven long term care and retirement homes are listed in outbreak with at least one case of the virus in either a staff member or resident. The latest home where an outbreak has been declared is Fairwinds Lodge where one resident and two staff have tested positive.
Twenty six people are ill in six different workplace outbreaks.
There are two outbreaks in schools; four people are ill from Confederation Central School and two Great Lakes Secondary School members are also ill.
