Two people treated by paramedics after accident on Oil Heritage Road

April 23, 2021

Two people were pulled from a SUV after a mid-afternoon accident just outside of Petrolia.

The vehicle collided with a boat on a trailer near Discovery Line.

Petrolia/North Enniskillen firefighters removed two people from the vehicle and they were treated by paramedics at the scene and then taken to hospital to be evaluated. Both were alert and talking with emergency personnel. One of the people in the vehicle was able to walk to the ambulance.

A 50 year-old Petrolia man was driving a pickup truck pulling the boat. He told The Independent that he hit a dip in the pavement, the trailer hitch hit the road and the trailer let go sending the boat into the other lane. That’s when the collision occurred.

OPP are investigating.
