Ford extends Stay-at-Home order
May 13, 2021
Premier Doug Ford has just extended the stay at home order until June 2.
He expects after that outdoor education will open on the way to “a much better summer.”
Ford says online learning will continue. Vaccinations will open up for 12 year-old May 31.
Ford would not commit to a level of COVID-19 in the community or number of patients in ICU to reopen. “We’ll look at the numbers on June 2 and see where we are then.”
The premier is saying the extra time is needed to continue increasing the number of people vaccinated in the province.
“Our goal is to have as normal July and August as we can.”
