May 17, 2021
Lambton OPP have removed a body from a Petrolia home this afternoon.
About five police vehicles, including the Forensic Investigation Team, were called to Portland and Center Streets around 2 pm Monday. Officers put police tape up around the home and officers could be seen moving into the home with cameras.
Just before 4 pm, officers donned hazmat suits and entered the home with two stretchers. Reporter Alex Kurial, who is on the scene, says one body has been removed from the home so far.
Eye witnesses living in the neighbourhood tell The Independent he has not seen people going in or out of the home for weeks.
