Anderson Webster was holding on tight to his fish. He was one of 24 kids who took part in the annual Petrolia Fishing Derby. Over the 11 days of the derby at Bridgeview Park, the kids caught 214 fish, two turtles, one clam and a clump of weeds. Hunter Kedwell caught the largest fish – a 31.5 inch carp. Jadin Vandenberghe caught 54 fish. Alex Core caught the smallest fish – a half inch minnow. Anderson won one of the randam draws for his 8.5 inch catfish.

Memorial to the fallen in Petrolia
