Contest encourages a trip down Bear Creek

The Town of Petrolia has launched a contest to encourage people to paddle Bear Creek and Little Lake.

It’s holding Kayak and Canoe Days from Aug. 14 to 22.

Paddlers are encouraged to launch at Bridgeview Park North and head down the river, taking a few photos as you go.

You can then share your photos with the town until 4 pm Aug. 22 for an online photo contest. Residents will chose the best photo between Aug. 23 and 27 on social media.
