Lambton County Developmental Services has a new set of wheels, thanks to the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
Executive Director Nick Salaris unveiled the new accessible van which Trillum gave a $53,000 grant to LCDS to purchase.
The accessible van will be used to help keep clients connected with family and friends in the community, Salaris says.
LCDS normally wouldn’t be able to purchase a new accessible van such as this on its own. The organization would likely fundraise and looking for something used instead he said.
This is one of two fully accessible vehicles and it will be used around the county.
