Sarnia man faces theft charges after electricity compound damaged

A 51 year-old Sarnia man is facing seven charges after an electricity compound in Corunna was damaged.
Friday, around 1:40 pm, Lambton OPP were called by a resident on Hill Street saying someone was inside the compound.
Police arrived to see a man fleeing. Other officers joined the search and the man was found a short time later. He tried to flee, but police made the arrest.
Steven Cottrelle, 51, of Sarnia faces charges of break and enter, possession of break in instruments, two counts of theft and three counts of mischief related to destroying or damaging property.
He’ll be back in court March 7.
