March 24, 2022
A Petrolia teen is facing five charges after taking their parent’s car and trashing through a fence.
Lambton OPP are just releasing information about the accident which occurred March 11.
Police were called to Point Edward after someone found an abandoned vehicle which had hit a fence and was damaged.
The owner was called. They didn’t know the vehicle was missing. The owner’s teenager was also not home.
Police say the teen took the vehicle without permission.
The teen – who has not been named – has been charged with taking a vehicle without consent, careless driving, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, and two charges because he is a G1 licence holder.
