Arrest made in murder at Marthaville Habitat

May 26, 2022

We’re just hearing details from Lambton OPP that an arrest has been made in the shooting of a Sarnia man at the Marthaville Wildlife Habitat in Enniskillen Township.

Police issued a news release May 26 that “On April 29, 2022, OPP arrested Jason Nahmabin, 43, of Sarnia, for first degree murder.”

On April 14, someone using the popular walking trail called OPP around 7 am after finding Andrew Chute’s body. The 45 year-old, police said at the time, had been shot in a targeted attack.

Police closed the road for several days, searching for evidence in murder along the roadway.

The habitat was closed for several days for the investigation and for the repair of the parking lot.

Nahmabin was arrested and appeared in court the next day. He was remanded in custody.
