Memorial to the fallen in Petrolia
Officially open again
July 2, 2022
Lambton County Warden Kevin Marriott and Petrolia Mayor Brad Loosley were joined by former head librarian Ronald Baker and Sarnia-Lambton MPP Bob Bailey to reopen the Petrolia Library. It had been closed for five weeks for an update. The circulation desk was moved, floors repaired, the children’s room got an update and the entire former train station got a fresh light coat of paint. The renovations were made possible because of a large donation made by Otto and Kathleen (Cunningham) Schuldt. While they didn’t live in the area, Kathleen grew up in the area. A bequest of about $440,000 will be used to maintain the library.
