November 26, 2022
A small cabin in a wooded area of Petrolia was destroyed by fire Saturday morning.
Petrolia/North Enniskillen firefighters were called to Princess Street around 8:15 Saturday after the owners of the bush saw smoke coming from an area where they had built a small cabin.
Chief Jay Arns says the cabin was destroyed. It was valued at about $15,000.
Arns says there were no injuries and fire officials are still investigating how it started.
