Four groups get $9k in Petrolia Community Foundation grants

Four Petrolia groups are getting a helping hand from the Petrolia Community Foundation.
The executive director, Mike Barron, was at Petrolia Council Monday to give out $9,000 to four groups.
Petrolia Community Refrigerator will receive $ 3,000 to purchase equipment.
Sarnia Lambton Rebound will use $2,000 to present a family movie night in Petrolia.
Organization for Literacy Lambton will use its $2,500 to present a Train Your Brain program for Grade 3 & 4 students.
YMCA Petrolia will buy a mesh wheelchair to help people get in and out of the pool with its $1,500 grant.
The four projects were chosen from 11 applications.

Sarnia Police say the body found on Lasalle Line six days ago has been identified as Brad Ogilvie. The Sarnia man disappeared November 2023. Eleven months later, police determined he’d been murdered.
