The Mooretown Flags took four points on the weekend but it was anything but easy.

On Saturday at home, Jace Dupuis scored twice in the final 68 seconds with an extra attacker to force overtime and then beat Dresden, 7-6 on a Logan Gardner game-winner in the OT. Dupuis wound up with a hat trick and an assist. Tristen Konrad and Masen Flett had the other Mooretown goals. Brody Genyn had five assists. Malcolm Verstraten picked up the goaltending win and former Petrolia Flyer Joseplh Malinowski took the loss for the Kings.

On Sunday in Blenheim, Flett (below) scored his second of the game with less than 15 seconds left in regulation for a 3-2 Flags’ victory. Ayden Letang had the other Mooretown goal to get the Flags on the board in the second period after the Blades had jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Genyn had a pair of assists.

John Chartrand made 37 saves in the Mooretown cage in the victory.

The Flags are now 15-11-1 and in fifth place in the Stobbs Division. They are four points back of Blenheim and have four games in hand.

Mooretown travels to Lakeshore Friday and will entertain Wheatley Saturday at 7:30.
