LCCVI’s Landon wins three individual swim titles at LKSSAA

Darius Landon led LCCVI to a third place finish at the LKSSAA swim meet.

Landon won three individual events at the Sarnia Y this week – the senior boys 100 and 200 freestyle and the 100 metre backstroke. The only other swimmer to do that was Daisy Jenkins of Northern.

Northern outscored St. Pat’s and LCCVI to capture the LKSSAA swimming team title at the Sarnia Y.

The Vikings amassed 936 points. The Irish and Lancers had 802 and 684 points respectively.

The Vikings also won the boys’ team title with LCCVI placing second. And, St. Pat’s captured the girls’ crown by defeating the Vikings and Lancers.

Other individuals winners were , Carson Love and Hunter Kedwell (LCCVI), Kate Bedard, Nathan Gubbels, Matthew Kemp, Celeste Munoz and Gabrion Tulang (St. Pat’s), Jordan Somers, Gabby Jones, Sophie Victor, Lucas Jones, Kylee Atkinson (Northern) and Francesco Montanino (St. Francois-Xaiver).

88 swimmers qualified for the SWOSSA championships to be held in Windsor on Feb. 14.
