Lancer wrestlers advance to championships

Austin Wilkins beat LCCVI teammate Luke Holmes to win the open boys’ 89-kilogram final at the recent Sarnia Invitational high school wrestling event at St. Pat’s.
It was one of two first place finishes for LCCVI. Lancer Brock Callister won the boys 77 kg event, and Dominic Cook took third place in the 67.5 kilo class.
On the women’s side, Elianna Callister (47.5 kg.), Kylee Summerville (54 kg) and Abigail Ginn (67.5 kg) all took third place in their respective events.
The LKSSAA wrestling championship will be held on Feb. 16 at North Lambton in Forest
