Community foundation gives out $9K of grants in Petrolia

Four Petrolia groups are getting a helping hand from the Petrolia Community Foundation. The executive director, Mike Barron, was at Petrolia Council Monday to give out $9,000 to four groups. Petrolia Community Refrigerator will receive $ 3,000 to purchase equipment. Sarnia Lambton Rebound will use $2,000 to present a family movie night in Petrolia. Organization for Literacy Lambton will use its $2,500 to present a Train Your Brain program for Grade 3 & 4 students. YMCA Petrolia will buy a mesh wheelchair to help people get in and out of the pool with its $1,500 grant. The four projects were chosen from 11 applications.
