Three OPP officers assaulted near Arkona

Three Lambton OPP officers were injured after trying to deal with a man damaging a parked car on Arkona Road.
Police say on Jan. 27, the OPP were called to Arkona Road around 6:15 pm with Lambton EMS and found the man damaging the vehicle.
The man was agitated and as the officers tried to arrest him, they were assaulted. Officials say the three were injured during the arrest.
Nicholas Webster, 33, of Arkon has been charged with two counts of assualting a peace officer causing bodily harm, assaulting a peace officer, mischief and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.
He’s being held in custody.
