Mike White has won his weight class at the Brampton Cup boxing event for the second year running.

The Wyoming fighter won the gold medal in a walkover over a boxer from Brantford on the weekend. White had advanced to the final with a first round TKO against a fighter from Kingston.

White, the son of former Canadian champion Frank White, is now 8-1 in his young career with four knockouts.

He is training with the Bluewater Boxing Club in Sarnia.

Mariah Robuck of Bluewater also won a gold in her class, while Miah Evans took silver and Kimberlynn Timmermans and Logan Sayers both won bronze medals. Meantime, Nicole Drury of Bluewater competed at nationals on the weekend and lost a close decision in the first round.
