LCCVI claim LK Girls hockey crown

Lizzie Swain scored twice to lead LCCVI to the 5-1 win over the North Lambton Eagles to claim the Lambton-Kent Girls Hockey crown.

Dahlia Bulgin scored the Lancers first goal with assists from Teagan Cox and Gracie Harse. Harse had two assists in the championship game.

Swain had assists from Alexandra Salaris and Toni Gunton when the Lancers made it 2-0. Then Swain scored unassisted, just seconds later in the second period.

Paige Hudson scored in the third as did Ella Jackson, with an assist from Tessa Jackson at 9:52 in the third.

Hannah Pullman put the Eagles on the board on the power play late in the third.

Eagles netminder Ally Scotchmer faced an amazing 43 shots in the game.

LCCVI heads to Windsor for the SWOSSA championship game Wednesday.
